A vegan ricotta + almond + lemon + basil TOAST with Kite Hill

February 28, 2018

It’s no secret that I love Toast- so much so that I wrote a book about it!

One of my favorite things about hosting is the¬†ability to cook for anyone, regardless of their dietary restrictions and needs. I met the folks from Kite Hill last year, and absolutely love their perspective on food and hosting… Plus, their products are so darn good. They make amazing almond based cheeses and yogurts- and I literally have not tried one thing that I don’t love- and I’m not even vegan!

the darling x aerie retreat: some recipes!

October 25, 2017

hi friends! Hope your week has been amazing so far. A few weeks back, I got to partner up with two AMAZING brands, Darling Magazine and Aerie and had the opportunity to host and cook for their retreat! We invited 20 women, and together spent a weekend in the Hamptons having some quality intentional rest time. We ate like queens, swam in the pool, I taught a personality workshop, and we explored the Ocean shore. The weekend was absolutely dreamy. Cooking for 20 women can be overwhelming, but with the help of my assistant and a few simple and¬†beautiful recipes, the weekend was overwhelmingly enjoyable. I wanted to share a few of my favorite recipes with you that are some go-to’s for groups like this!

blistered shishito peppers with toasted sesame seeds

September 27, 2016

You know what I’ve been addicted to lately? Shishito peppers. Blistered shishito peppers started popping up on menus all around LA about a couple of summers ago, and for good reason! These peppers are a highly addictive picky bit to start off any meal. They’re bright green and fairly mellow, except for the occasional spicy one that packs a punch- so it’s fun eating them too, cause you never know if you’ll get one spicy guy out of the bunch!

roasted potatoes with seven minute eggs

August 18, 2016

Summer dishes are in full effect at my house. With the season wrapping up and people getting those summer parties in before the long sunny days are over, an easy side dish at your fingertips is a must-have for all those final backyard BBQs. This delicious (and remarkably simple) side is made with locally sourced baby roasted potatoes, and some farm raised eggs. And, as with most of my dishes, a delicious condiment is a great accompaniment to add an extra kick of flavor.

smoked salmon bites

July 29, 2016

I love having guests over for impromptu gatherings. My loft has an open door policy and nothing makes me happier than welcoming friends in for any type of meal at any time of day. That being said, having guests over frequently means needing an arsenal of picky bits to serve up simply and quickly, for when that unexpected friend stops by.

June 24, 2016

My love of toast runs deep. Case in point, here, here, here, and here-just to name a few. Toast is an all-in-one creative blueprint that’s yours for the customizing, which is what makes it so versatile and appealing. I’ll never tire of coming up with new goodies to top my toasts with, and if you’re in need of something other than the usual avocado toast (don’t get me wrong, it’s the OG), then read on for some new toast topping options!

roasted rainbow carrots

June 7, 2016

I’m settling into the week after a magical retreat in Ojai with some pretty wonderful women this past weekend. We practiced yoga, created alongside each other at a few fabulous workshops, and of course ate our fair share of deliciousness while talking heart to heart. Taking some time away like this is incredible, and whether you can take time for a full weekend retreat or just an hour out of your day, doing something that allows you to connect with yourself and maybe some others, is good for the soul.
